Role Description

About the Traineeship

  • Part-time traineeship (minimum 24 hours per week)

  • Approximately 12-18 months, depending on coursework and progression

  • Work at a site in Glen Waverley —shared accomodation and living space for clients that need assistance.

  • Shifts vary: between 7:00am and 10:00pm.

  • Weekend availability and OT offered in future (only if it suits your schedule)

  • Driver’s license, reliable car & insurance needed 🚗

What You’ll Do

Personal Care

  • Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, toileting and mobility

  • Help with meals, hydration and food preparation

  • Encourage independence and follow individual care plans

Domestic Assistance

  • Light cleaning, laundry, tidying and general household tasks

  • Grocery shopping with/for clients

  • Transport clients to appointments and social outings

Social Support

  • Provide companionship and emotional support

  • Support community engagement and daily routines

  • Help clients maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing
