Aged Care Traineeship | Build a Career That Matters Bring your experience. Build a career with purpose. Are you an experienced customer service professional looking for your next career move? Perhaps you've built your skills in retail, hospitality, or another people-focused environment and you're ready to put those skills towards something that helps the community. ACA is looking for professional, reliable and compassionate people to join a paid Aged Care Traineeship across Adelaide's inner-south, coastal and southern suburbs. You don't need previous aged care experience, but you do need to bring the right attitude, work ethic and transferable skills. You'll earn a wage while completing a fully funded CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and gain practical, hands-on experience supporting older Australians in their own homes. Your experience matters. The skills you've developed in previous roles can provide a strong foundation for community aged care. We're looking for people who are confident:
If you've developed these skills in retail, hospitality, customer service, or another people-focused role, you may already have many of the qualities that make a great support worker. What will you actually be doing? You'll work in Home & Community Care, supporting older Australians to remain independent and continue living safely in their own homes. Your day might include:
Unlike residential aged care, you'll travel between clients' homes, so every day can be a little different. What's in it for you?
No aged care experience? That's okay. The right skills matter. You will learn the care-specific skills and knowledge you need throughout your traineeship. What we can't teach as easily is reliability, professionalism, empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting others. If you've got those qualities, and you're ready to learn, we'd like to hear from you. What you'll need
Where will you work? We are experiencing demand in the Unley, Marion, Mitcham, Holdfast Bay, Onkaparinga and surrounding council areas. Who can apply? To be eligible for the traineeship, you must:
Ready for your next career move? If you've built a strong foundation in customer service and working with people and you're ready to take those skills somewhere more meaningful, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for. Apply through SEEK with your current resume and a cover letter telling us about your experience, why you're interested in aged care and what makes you a strong candidate for the traineeship. Bring your experience. Build new skills. Make a difference. Apply with your updated resume and a cover letter outlining:
