This is a great opportunity to work directly with business owners who have over 15 years’ experience in the carpentry trade. You’ll be part of a small, hands-on team where you’ll receive direct mentoring, learn new skills, and grow within a business that is looking to expand. The company focuses on residential projects across Melbourne’s inner city and northern suburbs, including small builds and townhouses.

About You

  • Late 1st year or early 2nd year apprentice

  • Year 12 completed (preferred), but not essential

  • Driver’s licence and reliable car required

  • Willing to travel from home to various sites and to trade school

  • Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to the trade

The host is more focused on attitude, commitment, and reliability than previous experience. If you’re eager to learn, you will be trained and supported.

Role Description

About the Apprenticeship

  • Full-time, 38 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break

  • No overtime and no RDO

  • Work across residential sites in inner city and northern suburbs

You must be committed to completing your Certificate III in Carpentry and attending trade school when required.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with extensions, decks, and renovations

  • Demolition and site preparation

  • Measuring and cutting materials

  • Basic framework or framing tasks

  • Fence construction and general carpentry work

  • Manual handling and general site duties

  • Working alongside qualified carpenters on active sites
