About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring Food Assistant Trainees pursuing a Certificate II in Commercial Cookery for our Aged Care Provider at Kadina. This traineeship provides a fantastic opportunity to develop fundamental kitchen skills under the guidance of experienced professionals, setting the stage for a fulfilling career in the culinary arts.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will perform a range of specialist cooking tasks such as planning and preparing food for residents of the facility. You may also undertake the following:

• Assist in basic food preparation and cooking techniques

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen

• Learn under the mentorship of experienced chefs

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

• Embrace opportunities for skill enhancement and professional growth

About You

To be considered for a Kitchen Operations Traineeship the following is required:

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

• Enthusiasm for the culinary industry

• Basic understanding of kitchen processes

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
