Role Description

Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunity for applicants looking to start their career through a Certificate III Individual Support over 12 months, located in Ballina & Lismore & hosted by Danny Met Sally

Danny Met Sally provides personalised disability support across Australia, helping people live independently and confidently. Their services include in-home care, community access, specialist housing and high-complex support delivered with dignity and respect.

Our Traineeship Program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training, mentorship, and classroom learning. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills. This program is perfect for recent graduates, career changers, and anyone eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

 

Duties:

  • Support individuals with daily domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing, and shopping.

  • Understand and follow care plans, complete documentation accurately, and maintain strict confidentiality

  • Assist with medication as prescribed and guided by medical professionals

  • Provide manual handling assistance, including safe transfers and mobility support

  • Help individuals access community activities and attend medical appointments, offering transportation, practical assistance, and emotional support.

 

Skills and responsibilities:

  • Willing to attain a NDIS Check, WWCC & Police Check

  • Drivers Licence & Vehicle

  • Willing to attain First Aid & CPR Certificate

  • Willing and available for shift work, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to follow & adhere to policies and procedures 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Passionate for field & result driven
