Role Description

Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) is looking to place candidates into Individual Support (Aged) Traineeships throughout Adelaide's Southern metro, South-West, and Western suburbs. Candidates who live within the Unley, Marion, Mitcham, Holdfast Bay, and Onkaparinga council areas are strongly urged to apply. Candidates living in The City of Charles Sturt, City of West Torrens, and and City of Port Enfield council areas are strongly urged to apply. Please be advised this is a paid traineeship to gain Certificate III in Individual Support; candidates who already hold this qualification cannot be considered.

Who we are looking for:

Candidates who want to obtain a Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing) (please note you are not eligible if you already hold this qualification).

  • Warm, respectful, and compassionate individuals

  • Great communicators who enjoy helping others

  • Current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle that will pass a Vehicle Safety Checklist

  • Willing to obtain a National Police Check and required clearances

  • No prior experience needed – just a desire to learn and care for others

What you will learn:

  • Support ageing people with Personal Care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)

  • Support ageing people with light domestic duties and meal preparation

  • Support ageing people with transport to appointments and social activities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to ageing people

  • Promote independence and dignity amongst ageing people as you support them to live in their own homes, or in Aged Care facilities
