Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunity for applicants looking to start their career through a Certificate III Engineering Mechanical, located in Bayswater & our host employer, Conomatic. 

Our Apprenticeship Program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training, mentorship, and classroom learning. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills. This program is perfect for recent graduates, career changers, and anyone eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Duties:

• Operate and assist with CNC machinery and fabrication equipment in a workshop environment

• Support CNC turret punching and sheet metal fabrication processes

• Perform sheet metal cutting, folding, and general fabrication tasks

• Accurately read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and measurements

• Work with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

• Safely use a variety of hand tools and power tools in line with WHS standards

Skills and responsibilities:

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to follow & adhere to policies and procedures 

• Drivers Licence and reliable transport

•  Previous exposure to fabrication or sheet metal work is highly regarded

• Strong mechanical aptitude with a genuine willingness to learn and develop skills

• High level of attention to detail with good organisational abilities
