Role Description

Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunity for applicants looking to start their career through a Certificate III Commercial Cookery over 36 months, located in Mayfield & hosted by Fronditha Care

Our Apprenticeship Program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training, mentorship, and classroom learning. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills.

Duties:

  • Create nutritious, delicious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and health needs

  • Apply your knowledge of senior nutrition to support wellbeing, energy, and enjoyment of food in later life

  • Celebrate culture through food, preparing traditional dishes— including Greek cuisine—when appropriate

  • Collaborate with care staff and allied teams to deliver personalised meal plans for every resident

  • Champion food safety and hygiene, upholding impeccable kitchen standards at all times

  • Contribute creatively to menu planning and presentation, making every meal both appealing and satisfying


Fronditha Care is a leading not‑for‑profit aged care provider delivering high‑quality residential and community support services. They specialise in culturally sensitive care for older Australians, particularly those from Greek backgrounds, offering services such as residential aged care, home care packages, domestic assistance, social support programs, and respite care. Their mission is to promote independence, wellbeing, and dignity through personalised, culturally informed care.

 

Skills and responsibilities:

  • Willing to attain a Police Check

  • Willing and available for shift work, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to follow & adhere to policies and procedures 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Passionate for field & result driven
