Role Description

Aged Care Traineeship | Earn While You Learn | No Support Work Experience Required

This opportunity allows you to complete the nationally recognised CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) while gaining paid, hands-on experience in a Home & Community settings.

ACA is looking for people who can bring customer service skills and a desire to work in this growth industry, supporting elderly residents living in the coastal and metro suburbs of Adelaide's inner-south (Unley, Marion, Mitcham, Holdfast Bay, and Onkaparinga council areas in particular).

Unlike residential aged care, you'll travel between clients' homes, helping older Australians maintain their independence while continuing to live safely in their own homes. Every day is different, and you'll build meaningful one-on-one relationships with the people you support.

This traineeship combines on-the-job training, classroom learning, and ongoing mentorship, making it ideal for career changers, return-to-work candidates, and those passionate about supporting older Australians.

  • Have your own vehicle and SA driver's licence (P2 Provisional Licence is required)

  • Have a willingness to obtain a National Police Check and undertake a First Aid and Manual Handling course

What you’ll learn

You will develop skills in person-centred care, communication, legal and ethical practice, personal care, promoting healthy lifestyles, basic first aid, and supporting the independence and wellbeing of older people.
