Wall and Floor Tiling Apprenticeship

• 4-year apprenticeship duration

• Work is predominately in Wollongong to Nowra and South Coast regions

We are seeking individuals that are strong, eager and committed to commencing an apprenticeship in Wall and Floor Tiling. Our client is a small, skilled team of professionals looking to take on 1 or 2 apprentices to join their team to work on residential and commercial sites across Wollongong and down to the South Coast.

This 4-year apprenticeship offers hands-on experience and formal training towards a Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling.

You’ll learn every aspect of the trade — from surface preparation and precision tile cutting to grouting, sealing, and finishing, while contributing to high-quality workmanship in a supportive environment.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

• Carrying and handling tiles, adhesives, and other heavy materials

• Measuring, marking, and preparing surfaces for tiling

• Laying tiles with precision, ensuring accuracy in alignment and spacing

• Cutting and shaping tiles using hand and power tools

• Mixing and applying grout, sealants, and adhesives

• Cleaning and maintaining work areas and tools

• Assisting with demolition, removal of old tiles, and surface preparation

• Following safety procedures and maintaining a tidy, organised work environment

• Is eager to learn and committed to completing the 4-year apprenticeship

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen

• Drivers licence and own vehicle (Provisional is minimum)

• Construction White Card

• Sound skills in Mathematics
