Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) are recruiting for our highly respected Aged Care hosts located in metropolitan Adelaide. This is an entry-level opportunity for candidates of all walks of life. Start the new year fresh by joining this dynamic workforce supporting residents to live well in residential aged care homes across Adelaide!

Who we are looking for:

Candidates who want to obtain a CHC33021 | Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing) (please note you are not eligible if you already hold this qualification).

• Warm, respectful, and compassionate individuals

• Great communicators who enjoy helping others

• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and NDIS worker check (if you do not have one already)

• Candidates who can demonstrate a high level of empathy, problem solving, and customer service skills will be highly regarded

• No professional Aged Care experience necessary – just a desire to learn and care for others!

What you will learn:

• Support ageing people with Personal Care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)

• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents

• Promote independence and dignity amongst ageing people

• Help residents move around, get out of bed, walk, and use mobility aids

• Work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to follow each resident's care plan

Career pathways include

• Aged Care Worker

• Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

• Home Care Assistant

• Residential or Community Support Worker

• Respite Care Worker

• Accommodation Support Worker
