Role Description

Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) is excited to offer two incredible apprenticeship opportunities hosted by Applied Robotics — a leader in Australia’s automation revolution. You can apply to complete either a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, both running over 48 months and based in Silverwater. This position is highly recommended for Female applicants to apply!

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade

You’ll gain hands-on experience in precision fitting and machining while working on automation and robotic systems.
Key tasks include:

  • Fitting, drilling, and machining components such as motors and frames.

  • Working with pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensor systems.

  • Assembling and maintaining robotic and automated machinery.

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings.

  • Safely operating lathes, mills, and measuring instruments.


Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician

You’ll learn the electrical side of automation and robotics, from control systems to fault-finding.
Key tasks include:

  • Assisting with electrical wiring, control panels, and automation systems.

  • Supporting the setup and maintenance of robotic arms, conveyors, and sensors.

  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Performing diagnostics and fault-finding under supervision.

  • Using tools such as multimeters and continuity testers.
