Encounter Bay - Individual Support (Ageing) Traineeships

Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) is looking to place candidates into Individual Support (Aged) Traineeships throughout Adelaide's Encounter Bay area. Candidates who live within Encounter Bay area are strongly urged to apply.

Who we are looking for:

Candidates who want to obtain a Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing) (please note you are not eligible if you already hold this qualification).

• Warm, respectful, and compassionate individuals

• Great communicators who enjoy helping others

• Willing to obtain a National Police Check and required clearances

• No prior experience needed – just a desire to learn and care for others

What you will learn:

• Support ageing people with Personal Care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)

• Provide companionship and emotional support to ageing people in nursing homes

• Promote independence and dignity amongst ageing people as you support them to live in Aged Care facilities

• Assist with medication, preparation of meals, light housekeeping, and communicate with families and other healthcare professionals about the residents' needs
