Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunities for applicants looking to start their career through a Certificate III or IV in Information Technology over 24 months, located in Lucas Heights & our host employer, ANSTO.

ANSTO is Australia's national nuclear research and development organisation and is the centre of Australia's nuclear expertise. ANSTO provides expert advice to government on all matter relating to nuclear science, technology and engineering

Our Traineeship Program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training & mentorship. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills. This program is perfect for recent graduates, career changers, and anyone eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Duties:

  • Handle incoming help desk phone calls and provide timely technical assistance.

  • Assist staff with IT issues through walk‑ins, offering immediate support.

  • Monitor and respond to IT support emails promptly.

  • Triage incoming IT support tickets, accurately categorising and prioritising them.

  • Perform troubleshooting to resolve common technical problems.

Skills and responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to follow & adhere to policies and procedures 

  • Strong computer literacy skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
