Role Description

Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunity for applicants looking to start their career through a Certificate III Cabinet Making, located in Dandenong & our host employer, LNP-Schade Cabinets. 

Our Apprenticeship Program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training, mentorship, and classroom learning. As a trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience and developing valuable industry skills. This program is perfect for recent graduates, career changers, and anyone eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Duties:

  • Assisting with the manufacture of cabinetry including kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, and custom joinery

  • Assembly of cabinets, doors, drawers, and hardware (hinges, runners, handles)

  • Measuring, cutting, and preparing materials to specifications

  • Interpreting and working from technical drawings and schematics

  • Operating hand and power tools (e.g. drills, saws, sanders, and machinery such as panel saws and band saws)

Skills and responsibilities:

  • Drivers licence and Vehicle

  • Genuine interest in cabinet making, carpentry, or woodworking

  • Some prior exposure to woodwork or trades (desirable but not essential)

  • Basic understanding of tools; own basic tools (e.g. measuring tape, ruler) highly regarded

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

  • Physically fit and capable of manual work

  • Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn

  • Commitment to completing an apprenticeship
