Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA), in partnership with Axis Construction, is seeking a motivated and reliable Business Administration Trainee to join their growing team in Somerton Park.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a professional office environment while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business Administration. You'll receive ongoing mentoring and support while developing valuable skills that can open doors to a long-term career in administration, project support, and the construction industry.

About the Role

As a Business Administration Trainee, you will support the day-to-day operations of a busy construction business while learning a wide range of administrative functions.

Duties may include:

  • Managing incoming phone calls and email enquiries

  • Data entry and maintaining accurate records

  • Scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars

  • Preparing and processing documents and correspondence

  • Assisting with procurement and purchase orders

  • Learning industry software including Procore and using Microsoft Office and SharePoint systems

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A genuine interest in administration and business operations

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A positive, professional, and reliable attitude

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good attention to detail and time management skills

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • A willingness to learn new systems and processes

  • The ability to follow instructions and ask questions when required

  • Reliable transport and a valid driver's licence (preferred)
