Wingfield SA 5013 | 3-Year Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) is seeking motivated candidates for an Automotive Sales Apprenticeship based in Wingfield. This opportunity allows you to complete the nationally recognised AUR31020 Certificate III in Automotive Sales while gaining paid, hands-on experience with a local South Australian business.

This apprenticeship combines on-the-job training, online learning, and ongoing mentorship, making it ideal for career changers, return-to-work candidates, and those passionate about the automotive industry who prefer sales over hands-on mechanical work.

What’s in it for you?

  • AUR31020 Certificate III in Automotive Sales (no cost to you)

  • Paid employment while you train, including paid study time

  • Hands-on experience in an earth-moving equipment workshop and showroom environment

  • Dedicated ACA Field Officer providing ongoing support

  • Full-time role: 38 hours per week

  • Base rate + superannuation + leave entitlements

Who we’re looking for:

  • Applicants who do not already hold this qualification

  • Mechanically minded individuals who enjoy tinkering with machinery

  • Hands-on learners with outgoing personalities

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Resilient candidates open to feedback and self-improvement

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

What you’ll learn:

As an Automotive Sales Apprentice, you’ll develop the skills to build a successful career selling vehicles and machinery, including how to:

  • Sell and promote earth-moving and heavy machinery

  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable machinery solutions

  • Confidently present equipment features, specifications, and technology

  • Follow structured sales processes from enquiry through to final sale

  • Appraise and manage used machinery stock

  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally

  • Conduct online and face-to-face sales transactions

  • Communicate effectively and work as part of a sales team

  • Follow safety, environmental, and legal requirements within the automotive industry
