About You

  • Late 1st year or early 2nd year apprentice

  • Some experience or exposure to panel beating

  • Passion for cars (including working on personal or friends’ vehicles)

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Reliable and punctual – attendance is very important

  • Driver’s licence and reliable car preferred (for trade school and reliability to work)

Role Description

You’ll complete a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair at Kangan Institute while gaining hands-on experience in a professional workshop environment. We we would love to take on an experienced 1st Year or 2nd Year Apprentice!

About the Apprenticeship

  • Full-time, up to 4-year apprenticeship

  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

  • Approx. 8:00am – 4:00pm

  • Workshop-based role – no onsite or mobile work

  • All tools supplied by the host

What You’ll Be Doing

Late 1st Year Apprentice:

  • Assembly of body components and car parts

  • Learning core panel beating fundamentals

  • Supporting qualified tradespeople

Early 2nd Year Apprentice:

  • Panel removal and refitting

  • Basic structural repairs

  • Metalwork and welding

  • Surface preparation and filling

  • Assisting with a variety of workshop tasks
