Administration/ Swim Instructor Traineeships

Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) we currently have an exciting opportunities for applicants looking to start their career through a Certificate III in Business Administration over 12 months, located in Wollongong & our host employer. 

This dual-role traineeship is ideal for an enthusiastic candidate looking to develop skills in both business administration and swim instruction. It offers the opportunity to gain nationally recognised training while supporting children aged 5–12 in the pool and assisting with the daily operations of a busy aquatic facility.

This traineeship is well-suited to individuals who are confident swimmers, enjoy working with children and families, and are looking for a role with diverse and meaningful responsibilities.

Duties:

• Assist in teaching children aged 5–12 essential swimming skills in a safe and supportive environment.

• Greet and assist parents, children, and members at reception and the kiosk.

• Respond to enquiries both in person and over the phone.

• Help with general administrative tasks including data entry, emails, and managing customer records.

• Learn introductory plant room operations to support safe and efficient facility functioning.

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment in line with workplace health and safety standards.

Skills and responsibilities:

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to follow & adhere to policies and procedures 

• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

• Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
