Starting a Shopfitting Apprenticeship

Be part of creating commercial spaces such as retail stores, offices and hospitality venues. As a shopfitting apprentice, you will learn how to build and install fixtures and fittings that bring commercial environments to life.
What you'll do:
- Construct and install shop fittings and fixtures
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Use hand and power tools
- Work on-site to install completed structures
- Follow safety procedures

Applicants who have already completed a furniture qualification are encouraged to apply. In particular:
- Certificate II in Furniture Making Pathways MSF20522 may be used as an entry pathway into the Certificate III.
This ensures you have the foundational skills and knowledge needed to confidently progress into a higher level.

Once you have completed your apprenticeship with us, you will receive the following qualifications:
- Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology MSF30322

A day in the life...
I start by reviewing plans and preparing materials. Some days I work in the workshop building components, and other days I am on site installing them. I enjoy the variety and seeing a commercial space come together from start to finish.
