A childcare traineeship gives you hands-on experience supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development in a safe and engaging environment. You’ll work closely with children, families and educators while completing structured training. As a childcare trainee, you may be involved in:
- Structured learning activities in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Supporting the development of children’s motor skills, cooperation, confidence and understanding through play-based activities
- Encouraging language development through storytelling, rhymes and group or one-on-one conversations
- Supporting children’s health, safety and overall wellbeing
- Discussing children’s progress and individual needs with parents, both informally and during meetings
Career options available:
- Early Childhood (Pre-primary School) Teachers who help with the development of basic numeracy, literacy music and art in pre-primary children. Early Childhood teachers also inspire children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical development.
A career IN the childcare industry would suit someone who:
