A traineeship gets you qualified, paid and ahead of the pack – in just one year. It combines work experience and study. You can match it to suit your lifestyle – full-time or part-time. Full-time is 38 hours a week and part-time hours are agreed with your employer.
Real skills, real qualifications.
Entry-level qualifications include:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community).
Grow your career further with a Certificate IV Ageing Support. You’ll qualify for more senior roles. Or keep your options open with other courses in the care sector:
Certificate III in Individual Support.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability).
What your day will look like.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to ageing people.
- Assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, and medication.
- Helping with meal preparation, cleaning, and other light domestic duties.
- Organising social activities and outings.
Stand out from the crowd.
We’re looking for:
Patience, adaptability and flexibility.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Empathy and a caring nature.
Prior experience in a customer service role is advantageous (but not essential).
Other details:
A driver's licence will be required for some positions.
You must be willing to obtain a National Police Check and other clearances.
