Start a Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship
Develop a creative and practical trade where you transform spaces and bring projects to life. As a painting and decorating apprentice, you will learn how to prepare surfaces and apply finishes across residential, commercial and industrial settings.
What you'll do:
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling and cleaning
- Apply paints, coatings and finishes
- Mix colours and match finishes
- Work from plans and client specifications
- Maintain tools and follow safety procedures

Applicants who have already completed a construction qualification are encouraged to apply. In particular:
- Certificate II in Construction Pathways CPC20220 may be used as an entry pathway into the Certificate III.
This ensures you have the foundational skills and knowledge needed to confidently progress into a higher level.

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating CPC30620
