Gallery Administration Traineeship at Goulburn Council!Are you passionate about the arts and eager to kickstart your career in gallery administration? Look no further! We have an exciting traineeship opportunity for a candidate to join a great team at Goulburn Mulwaree Council to start a two year traineeship in Business Administration. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting with various aspects of gallery administration.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE General Administration: Assist in various administrative tasks, including data entry, file management, and document preparation. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors, both in person and over the phone. Social Media Engagement: Manage and create engaging social media posts to promote the Gallery's exhibitions and interact with the community. Manage social media account with consistent updates to build social media presence! Photography: Capture high-quality images and videography of the Gallery's exhibitions, documenting the artwork. Exhibition Support: Assist in the installation and dismantling of art exhibitions, ensuring a smooth and organised process. Artistic Interest: Leverage your artistic interest to contribute creative insights and ideas for promoting the Gallery's artistic endeavors.
TRAINEESHIP INFORMATION During the 24-month traineeship duration you will work full-time alongside Goulburn Mulwaree Council's experienced staff that will teach you all valuable skills of the job and mentor you throughout your traineeship. During your working week, you will be allocated 3-hours paid study time to work toward completing your Certificate IV in Business. Study will be completed online with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The experience from your practical skills at Goulburn Council will help you work through your study components and make you competent with all learnings of the course.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Artistic Interest: Knowledge, experience and/or interest in the visual arts. Understand the beauty of art, be able to identify certain details that others may overlook or not understand. Exceptional interpersonal skills: Have great communication in all aspects, personal, written and over the phone. Understand the importance of maintaining professionalism with appearance and presentation. Detail Oriented: Thoroughly identify administration errors and be able to amend information with accurate data. Experience in Microsoft Suite Programs: Be efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Be able to create data sheets, internal documents and presentations for efficient flow! Customer Service Skills: Providing attentive and helpful assistance to customers, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a friendly demeanor. Confidence in assisting customers via phone call, email and in person.
