What is an Apprenticeship?

An Australian Apprenticeship, commonly known as an apprenticeship or traineeship, is a learning pathway that combines paid on-the-job training and formal study with a Registered Training Organisation.

It’s a great way for your child or student to gain a nationally recognised qualification while earning a wage working in under employment, rather than have to choose one over the other!

Apprentices and trainees will finish their higher-learning journey equipped with practical skills AND a formal education. This powerful combination of theoretical and hands-on experience is prized by employers across many industries and professions and will set them up for life.

With over 500 career options, our crew can help your child or student find a job that suits their skills and interests. We'll assist them through the application process and once employed, provide ongoing support and mentoring.

Backed by the Australian Chamber movement we have the experience, reputation and research to help your child launch a successful career.

Who Is Eligible?

Australian Apprenticeships are available to those leaving school, re-entering the workforce and even adults simply looking at a career change. Students can even begin an Australian Apprenticeship while finishing secondary school under a School-based Apprenticeship arrangement.

Australian Apprentices may elect to study full-time, part-time, or a combination of both - earning and learning as they go!
