We have several great opportunities for 2nd to 4th Year Electrical Apprentices to work across a variety of quality roles across Melbourne. Our host is a World leader in technical services and fitouts.

 

The Role:

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will be working in a variety of locations, across Melbourne, working on a variety of new and exciting leading edge sites. Whilst gaining valuable, practical experience you will be required to attend TAFE and study a Certificate III in Electrotechnology to complete all requirements to gain an  Electrical Contractors licence. This is a great learning role working in a strong team that requires someone who can work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.

 

Duties will include:

  • Preparing tools and materials on-site each day.
  • Roughing in cabling, terminating cabling.
  • Following WHS procedures and guidelines
  • Assisting electricians and receiving instruction and supervision
  • Learning to read and interpret electrical and building 
  • Running cable for voice, data, fibre and as well as electrical
  • Assist with installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibrations of electrical systems and equipment

Requirements:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Hold a current Drivers licence & own transport strongly preferred
  • White Card required
  • The ability to understand written and verbal instructions
  • Must have a complete commitment to working safely 
  • Have an eye for detail & take pride in work
  • Min 12 mths experience required
  • Availability to undertake a roster that pays penalty rates owing to spanning Sunday to Thursday working across evenings including stating at 10pm till 6am.
