Our host specialises in the niche area of sour dough production. You will be riding the wave of a surge in popularity of this ‘healthier’ bread option, with the prospect of also learning how to prepare a variety of European-influenced pastry products.
Our host supplies to wholesale and retail customers and is still very much developing products and exploring their customer base. You will need to be a passionate individual who is curious to learn about the art and science of baking, plus be driven to deliver a quality product.
The environment is fast-paced, so you will need to be an energetic individual who likes to contribute to a creative close-knit team. Your usual start won’t be earlier than 8am. Initially you will not be required to work Saturdays.
Daily Duties may include:
- Baking and presenting quality product to meet changing customer needs
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the bakery
- Assisting with stock control and production expenses
- Learning new skills and products
- Providing delightful customer service when required
